    La Garenne 1 Rue de la Croix aux Vents The author Turgenev and his friends, the Viardots lived in this 18th century villa before moving to Fresnes. Lucy Arbell, opera singer and daughter of Edward Wallace spent many years there before bequeathing it to the Orphelinat des Arts in 1947. Nowadays, it is a private property.   • Bougival: the Impressionists’Walk

    From the village of Carrières sur Seine through to Croissy, Chatou, Bougival, Louveciennes, Marly le Roi and Le Port-Marly, you will find reproductions of Impressionist paintings in all the precise locations where these works are deemed to have been painted. This local initiative, launched in 1994 is known as the « Impressionists’Walk ».
